ROUTINE SERVICING

Servicing is an essential part of owning a vehicle .....
​
A Routine Service includes changing and renewing vital consumable parts for example;
Engine Oil and Engine Oil Filter
Air Filter
Spark Plugs (Petrol vehicles)
Fuel Filter
Transmission / Gearbox Oil
Differential Oil (RWD and 4WD vehicles)
Transfer Box Oil (4WD vehicles)
Also checks are carried out to determine the condition of other consumable parts / fluids such as;
Brake Fluid
Coolant / Anti-freeze
PAS Fluid (Power Steering Fluid)
Drive Belts
and various other checks to ensure your vehicle is in good health and advise of any areas which may need attention.

Remember .....
All the service parts listed are there to ensure the smooth and efficient opperation of ALL the major systems of the vehicle.
If any or all of these renewables are neglected it will greatly reduce the operational life of the vehicle, by increasing wear on moving parts and not allowing components to work as they were designed to.
You may also have much larger repair bills than you would normally expect as moving parts may need replacing more often

BRAKES

STOP !!!!!

As you probably know, Brakes are there to stop your vehicle. If your brakes are not in propper working order you are risking your life and the lives of others.
​
We provide visual brakes inspections as part of a Routine Service.
​
However if you notice your brakes are squeeking, grinding or not performing aswell as they should, don't hesitate to give us a call and we'll be happy to take a look.

SUSPENSION
​
Not just for a comfy ride .....
​
It is common for people to take suspension components for granted. For example, Only replacing a broken Spring or a leaking Shock Absorber to get the vehicle through its next MOT.
​
However some people do not realise the Saftey Aspect of replacing only one Spring / Shock Absorber at a time. Worn shocks can have an adverse effect on Handling and most importantly Braking.
​
A few things to remember .....
- When possible, Shocks and Springs should always be replaced in pairs. eg- Both front / Both Rear.
- Shock Absorbers should idealy be replaced every 80000 kms.
​
Other problems you may suffer from when using worn Springs / Shocks are:
​
- Nose Diving when braking
- Tail Squating under acceleration
- Harshness when driving over bumps
- Exessive Body Roll when cornering
- Uneven Tyre Wear
- Traction Loss when braking, cornering and accelerating
